The Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 reviews we have seen popping up on the internet recently are very complimentary to the 2011 model. Although the 2012 Jeep is now out on the market, the ’11 is still proving very popular in the used car market. So, sit back, relax and see exactly why this jeep is an excellent choice when it comes to reliability, value and performance.

Up until 2010, the Jeep Grand Cherokee wasn’t that great a vehicle to invest your hard earned dollars in (for instance, see our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee review for full details). Its miles to gallon ratio was well below average, the interior of the car left a lot to be desired and the back seat area was very small and confined.

For 2011, Jeep upped its game and used car parts that could also be found in Mercedes’ ML range models – this is a plus whichever way you look at it as Mercedes parts are always top-notch quality.

One of the first improvements over previous models you will immediately notice is that the rear seating area is much more spacious and airy. This makes is much more comfortable for passengers in the 2nd row (which conveniently seats up to five adults). In the frontal area, where the driver and front passenger sit, there are numerous small but welcome additions and upgrades. All the main functions (radio, windscreen wipers, sat nav/GPS features) are easier to operate and control which makes any trip or journey a breeze.

Time to delve under the bonnet! The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee we reviewed came with a hugely impressive 3.6 liter V6 engine which outputs a mighty 290 HP. There is also the option of a more powerful V8 option with the 2011 Jeep Cherokee. Suspension, front and rear, has been enhanced and offers a much more comfortable ride than last years model. As a direct competitor against the likes of the Ford Edge and Volkswagen Toureg – the Jeep Grand Cherokee holds its own and even surpasses some models in various areas.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in a variety of options to choose from: these being the Limited, Laredo and Overland models. Each offering their own unique advantages (and some cons it must be said!). Model options available are: alloys (17”), cruise control, Bluetooth, subwoofer sound systems and iPod/MP3 connectivity to name but a few.

Fuel consumption is improved on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee – you will get 16 miles per gallon in city driving and an impressive 22mpg while driving on motorway conditions. The V8 (which comes in a 5.7 liter engine size) uses 13mpg and 19mpg respectively.

The design of the dashboard area is improved and made much more attractive – out goes the hard plastic looks and in come a more welcoming cleaner design. Handling on corners is greatly improved and with the improved suspension you’re going to enjoy the ride every time.

Overall the 2011 Jeep is a great piece of kit and one that should not be overlooked. Price wise it is slightly above the industry average but you’re paying that bit extra for a great-looking, excellent handling and function rich machine that we’re sure wont disappoint you in the least.

We were highly impressed with this model and you will see why once you read our Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review. Every automaker has their flagship vehicle that they somewhat rely upon to carry the flag for their entire line-up. For Jeep that auto is the Grand Cherokee, and it seems that every year it just keeps going from strength to strength.

That was question a couple of years ago when the US auto industry was hammered by a flagging economy. Chrysler seemed to take the brunt of the damage, and there were big question marks as to whether or not they would be able to pull out of the nosedive. If Chrysler had gone under they would have taken their Jeep line with them, putting an end to the vehicle that is perhaps most representative of America. But they did survive, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee that came out of those ashes is considered by many to be the best one yet.

The 2012 Grand Cherokee, which comes in 4 different trims, was very well reviews by both critics and consumers alike, and has helped play a major part in the revival that Chrysler is currently experiencing. The Laredo may not hold as many features as say the Limited or the Overland, but you still get plenty for you money, especially if you spend a little extra and go with the Laredo X model.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo actually comes with some standard items that you would expect to find in an upgraded package rather than just the basic model. Those include such items as a Sentry Key theft deterrent system, keyless entry, and enhanced accident response system, an electronic vehicle info center, and leather trim on the seats and steering wheel.

It’s those little luxury items that regular customers seem to focus on in the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo reviews, as it seems to make them feel that they are getting more than they actually paid for.

Those reviews also focus on the sleek new look of the Laredo, as well as the performance, both of which have benefitted from a little German influence, taken from the BMW design. That injection of European flair, combined with the rugged American performance has made the Laredo an instant hit with consumers.

The American public is keen to support US built cars, but with the economy still in a bit of a rut, many of them simply can’t afford the expense of a new vehicle. The good news for those who want to promote American cars is that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is also very well reviewed in the used car department. Many vehicles suffer from a bad year or two, but it appears that the Laredo is well reviewed across each of its years and model, which means you can still get behind the wheel of an American vehicle without having to break the bank in order to do so.

Not interested in the Laredo? Why not check out our Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 review.

One of the first steps in choosing a used vehicle is to take a look at the pros and cons of the car that you have in mind. One of the best ways to do that, particularly when buying second hand (like the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee), is to read reviews from drivers who have had experience driving that make and model. It’s the best way to get a wholly unbiased report of what you can expect, and whether or not the vehicle that you desire is even worthy of your consideration. Fortunately the internet is full of great resources that allow you to do just that, and doing a little bit of homework can save you the possible misfortune of picking up a lemon at a greatly inflated price.

We are not all very car savvy, so any help that we can get is something that we should pounce on. For example, if your car of choice was a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, then you might not be aware that it comes in a number of different trims and engine configurations. That means that you could be buying a vehicle that is too much for your needs, or vice versa, so that research will also help you narrow down your final selection so that you get the exact model that fits your driving needs best.

The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee reviews are a perfect example of how taking the time to do that research can land you a great used vehicle. Two of the most popular websites for those who take the chore of buying a used vehicle seriously are Edmunds.com and cars.com, and they are both brimming with information about the 2006 model, all of which is perfectly broken down to encompass all the different configurations that were available that year.

From those sites you will be able to get a start rating based on real customer reviews, as well as being able to track down where you can buy, and what price you can reasonably expect to pay. In fact, cars.com goes as far as listing the expected Kelley Blue Book value, which will save you from jumping between websites. Having all the pertinent information in one place means that these sites have 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee reviews that can be trusted, as neither they nor the reviewers have anything to gain by leaving positive or negative reviews.

The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee rates extremely well at both sites and what you find is that there is a real consistency among all the reviews that help you find what the pros and cons of the vehicle are very quickly. Being able to track down a quality used 2006 model online may also save you the hassle of going from dealer to dealer and have to listen to the sales pitch that seldom matches what the car actually has going for it. Getting behind the wheel of a great used car now starts with getting in front of your computer screen.

The flagging economy has made it difficult for people to go out and buy new vehicles, and with so many now choosing to go the used car route, it’s becoming increasingly important to rely upon the reviews of others. There are some makes and models that seem to wear well, and which will make a great used car, and then there are those that seem to suffer from similar problems as they age. By taking the time to do a little homework, you may very well be able to root out the good from the bad, and still be able to land yourself a quality second hand car at a great price.

As an example of where to look, and what to look for, let’s imagine that you are in the market for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A quick Google search might throw up thousands of different results, all of which run the gamut in regards of price range. That large disparity might make you wonder what is going on, but you have to understand that the Grand Cherokee comes in different configuration, which means that a loaded Overlander with the same mileage or wear and tear is going to sell for a lot more than the basic model.

With that in mind, your research should begin with taking a look at the six different levels that the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee came in, which was Laredo, Limited, Freedom Edition, Special Edition, Overland and Columbia Edition. Take the time to break down the standard features of each to see which of those best fits your needs, and then start looking at reviews on the one that you choose.

When it comes to looking for 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee reviews you are going to find that there are a ton of resources on the internet, but two in particular that do a great job are Edmunds.com and cars.com. The reason that those sites work so well is because they include reviews from consumers who have driven the vehicle that you are looking for, and are prepared to give their honest, unbiased opinion. Sure, you can go to the Jeep website and read about how wonderful the 2004 model is, but there is always going to be more than a hint of bias in any review that you read there.

The Edmunds site relies heavily on input from driver’s, and gives an average consumer rating based on all those reviews. It’s interesting to note that the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee scores very highly in that regard. Cars.com, where it also scores highly, includes a whole slew of details about the vehicle, and also adds the Kelley Blue Book estimated value, which is a huge plus. Everyone has heard horror stories about shady used car deals, which makes this sort of preparation all the more vital. Let’s put it this way, if I were in the market for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, then the reviews that I saw on those 2 websites alone would be enough to make up my mind to buy one.

I think it’s fairly safe to say that we all remember how hard the auto industry in the US got hit when the full weight of the recession kicked in, and it was Chrysler who seemed to bear the heaviest load of that impact. It was tough to see how they were going to pull themselves out of the rut, especially after their acrimonious split with Daimler in 2007, but they announced their return to the big time with the release of the 2011 Chrysler Jeep Cherokee.

Critics have been raving about the latest addition to the Jeep family since its release, and the internet and car magazines have been buzzing with rave reviews. A big part of that may very well be down to some German engineering, and while the 2011 Grand Cherokee is never going to be confused with a Mercedes, it does in fact borrow some of the architecture from the Benz M-Class. That is only the beginning of the makeover though, and in order to see what exactly the critics are raving about, you have to look at every aspect of the vehicle.

That starts with how the Jeep looks inside and out, and it’s fair to say that she has never looked better. There was always something a little boxy about the old school Grand Cherokees, but the 2011 version has adopted a square jawed glare that simply oozes power and confidence. The exterior boasts a perfect proportion of metal to glass, and the new looking lighting in both the front and back complete the stylish new design. That style rolls over to the interior with a simple, yet elegant design, including all the controls placed on a cool center stack, and some real wood trim throughout to add a touch of style.

As far as performance goes, the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in a number of different configurations, from a 3.6 liter 60 degree V6, which is standard, all the way up to the Overland which packs a punch with its 360-hp, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 with 390 lb-ft of torque. That allows for a towing capacity of up to 7400 pounds, depending on which package you choose to run with. If it’s the HEMI option that you choose, then expect to frequently pull your wallet out to pay for gas. The fuel economy may be the only real downside of the Grand Cherokee, but if you are on the lookout for a HEMI engine that can tow a battleship, then you are probably not too concerned with fuel economy in the first place.

The safety features have received something of an upgrade, as have the little luxury features that we all like to have added on. Those include power everything, Sirius/XM satellite radio, as well as Sirius or FLO TV streamed into the rear seat screens. The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has gone a long way to restoring Chrysler’s name, as well as faith in the US car market.

After some redesigns for almost two years, Jeep Grand Cherokee had received some changes during 2007. The most notable of the design changes were the expansion of the power train and the offer of a diesel engine, and also the availability of the V8 engine. Many more safety features have been introduced across the entire line up as part of standard equipment.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reviews

The 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee reviews mention that the vehicle has gone in for a thorough redesign. The vehicle now has superior capabilities with good on-road driving experience with classy handling, the improvement is due to the use of an advanced front suspension which is independent coil-over, together with antilock disk brakes on all the four wheels, the four wheel drive now is controlled electronically. The features that comes with the Laredo version includes power widows, CD player, has a rear seat that could be folded, has a water resistant storage, and is air conditioned.
The Laredo version comes with a 3.7 liter V6 engine which is capable of producing 210 HP of power, while the Limited version is capable of producing 235 HP of power from its 4.7 liter V8 engine. The V8 5.7 liter engine comes as an option with Limited and comes as a standard feature on Over landand is capable of producing 330 HP power. The engines have the technology called Multi-displacement system which improves the fuel economy of the engine by deactivating four cylinders when not needed. The 3.0 liter common rail diesel engine has become available on the Limited and the Over land versions, and is capable of producing 215 HP of power. The diesel engine has improved fuel efficiency, and is giving almost 30% of savings.
